Description

Every student that enters University will have different strengths and challenges in their academic, personal and social abilities. The transition to university from school, college or employment can be daunting. This module will help to enable you to recognise the steps you need to take to ensure you achieve academic success. This module asks you to undertake a period of reflection on where your strengths lie. This will see you engage with the Abertay Discovery Tool that will inform you of your strengths and identify opportunities for further development. This will include reflections on things such as studying at university, academic skills, careers & employability, digital skills and wellbeing. Outcomes of the review will lead you to being guided to develop an action plan to address the challenges you may face over the coming year(s). This Discovery tool will help you identify further MySuccess modules that you plan to study in the coming year to address specific needs or topics that are of particular interest to you.

This module initiates the foundations of the Abertay Attributes, enabling you to engage in your development through identifying opportunities to develop personal, professional, digital, intellectual skills as you become an active citizen of the Abertay and Dundee communities.
