Description
A series of lectures, tutorials, and Seminars that support a student's ability to work within teams towards the creation of computer games and associated assets, enhancing their awareness of key professional issues such as roles, team dynamics, client interactions, and professional conduct. This work is complemented by developing their awareness of the appropriate strategies and techniques to effectively convey and promote both themselves and their outputs within the professional and commercial landscapes.
Aims
The aim of this module is to create professional game experiences for external audiences, and through doing so effectively developing the skills to promote yourself as a developer.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module the student should be able to:
1. Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate, analyse and synthesize key elements of professional game development through the creation of appropriate digital artefacts.
2. Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate, analyse and synthesise feedback, direction and communication as appropriate to the games industry.
3. Demonstrate the ability to critically evaluate, analyse key promotional and marketing tools and strategies, as appropriate for the games industry landscape.
Indicative Content
1 Concept Creation, construction, and presentation

SCQF Level - The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework provides an indication of the complexity of award qualifications and associated learning and operates on an ascending numeric scale from Levels 1-12 with SCQF Level 10 equating to a Scottish undergraduate Honours degree.
Credit Value – The total value of SCQF credits for the module. 20 credits are the equivalent of 10 ECTS credits. A full-time student should normally register for 60 SCQF credits per semester.
